The incident of assault is serious – Devendra Fadnavis
The incident of an MLA assaulting an employee there for serving poor quality food in the MLA’s residence is serious. Such incidents send a wrong message to the public about all MLAs. People get the impression that all public representatives misuse power, which tarnishes the reputation and image of the legislature and public representatives. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made such an admission in the Legislative Council.
For this reason, the Chief Minister requested in the House that the Chairman of the Legislative Council and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly should take full information and take necessary action in this matter. This issue was raised in the House by Legislative Council member Advocate Anil Parab through a special notice.
The Chief Minister also said that if any public representative or anyone else has any objection regarding the food at the MLA residence, then it should be brought to the notice of the concerned person and appropriate action should be taken by formally filing a complaint.
