Virat Kohli says that when he came to know about Yuvraj Singh’s cancer, the ground slipped from under his feet. This news was no less than a shock for him. Virat, who recently retired from Test cricket, spoke openly about his relationship with Yuvraj Singh.

I first saw Yuvi Pa during the North Zone tournament in Bangalore. When I started playing for India, he took care of me. Then what he did in the 2011 World Cup was very special. Later when we came to know about his cancer, it was a shock, but the way he made a comeback is the mark of a real champion.

There was a gathering of stars in London

Actually, Yuvraj Singh hosted a dinner party yesterday in London, the capital and largest city of England. The occasion was a fundraiser for his NGO ‘YouWeCan’ cancer. Big legends of the cricket world became a part of this event. Virat Kohli, who has settled in London, was the main attraction of this program.

Old friendship with Yuvraj and memories of 2011

Kohli also recalled his early relationship with Yuvraj and the 2011 World Cup era. He told how Yuvraj, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan made him feel comfortable in the Indian team.
