Last month, the US attacked Iran’s nuclear bases with bunker buster bombs. A day later, Iran retaliated by firing missiles on the US military base in Qatar on June 23. After this attack, US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran had already given warning, so the US base did not suffer any damage. However, about 20 days after this attack, such pictures have now emerged, which show that contrary to Trump’s claim, Iranian missiles had caused heavy damage to the US air base.

A video has been released by Iran on Friday. In this video, based on satellite images, it has been claimed that its missiles targeted the US communication facility (communication radome) in Qatar and destroyed it. Iran International has said that satellite images clearly show damage to Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base.

Iranian Embassy released video

The Iranian Embassy in India posted an X video and said, ‘Satellite images show that Iran destroyed the primary communication radome of the US military in Qatar. Iran has said that the pictures taken by private satellite firm Satellogic on June 24 show clear damage to the radome installed in the center of Al Udeid Air Base.

A black spot is visible on the radome area in the satellite pictures of the base. Apart from this, no other damage is visible in the base. Al Udeid Air Base, located near Qatar’s capital Doha, is the headquarters of the US Central Command’s air operations in West Asia. About 8 thousand American soldiers live here. It is the largest American military base in Arabia.

Why is it a big setback for America?

It is being claimed that the Radome Modernization Enterprise Terminal (MET) has been damaged in Iran’s attack. It is a $15 million satellite communication system, which was first installed at Al Udeid in 2016. MET provides voice, video and data for troops across the region. It is equipped with advanced anti-jammer technology. This system is considered important for maintaining communications between personnel deployed around the world and the US military leadership. Apart from Qatar, only Kuwait has this system.
