The dark night of June 30 in Himachal Pradesh has left never-healing wounds on the residents of Seraj in Mandi district. Some have lost their homes, farms and barns in this tragedy, while some have lost their entire family. Some of those who lost their loved ones in this tragedy are innocent children who do not even realize that their loved ones have passed away. One of these innocent children is 10-month-old Nikita of Talbara village in Seraj area.
Former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has reached Talbara and took this innocent child in his lap and caressed her a lot. On this occasion, Jairam Thakur also presented a gift to Nikita on his behalf. Wrote in a touching post on social media: While taking 10-month-old Nikita in his lap and caressing her, former CM Jairam Thakur has also shared a touching post on his social media handle page. In which it is written – The innocent child has not even learned to say mother yet, but her mother is no longer in this world. She will never learn to walk holding her father’s finger, because her father also left forever in this tragedy.
The natural disaster has given many such wounds to my Saraj, which will remain as a sore for life. A similar pain is of 10-month-old girl Nitika of Talwara, Saraj. This girl has lost her world. After the untimely death of the innocent girl’s parents due to the disaster, her aunt is taking care of her. Today my heart is broken after meeting this innocent girl. The innocent smile of the daughter seems to be expressing the pain from within, perhaps the daughter is waiting for her mother. She is searching for her parents from within, but now they will never come, of which the daughter is unaware. Seeing this girl laughing in the lap, everything may look normal from outside, but inside there is such a loneliness, which is beyond words. She is the daughter of our Saraj, we all will not let this innocent girl lack anything.
The whole family died an untimely death while diverting the flow of the drain
It is worth mentioning that this 10-month-old doll Nitika has become orphan in the terrible flood in Seraj area. Nitika’s father Naresh Kumar, grandmother Puranu Devi and mother Radha died an untimely death by being swept away in the flood in the drain behind the house on the night of June 30. Out of which only the body of Naresh Kumar has been recovered so far. These three were trying to divert the flow of the drain from the house to the other side and were swept away due to sudden flood.
The family had left her sleeping in the kitchen
At that time 10-month-old Nikita was sleeping in the kitchen, in the morning people saw the daughter lying in the kitchen and rescued her safely from there. Nikita’s house is completely safe and she is currently living with her aunt. This family is one of the families of Balwant Thakur, who was the PSO of former CM Jairam Thakur. He says that many people are requesting to adopt the doll. But Nikita’s aunt and her other relatives want to take care of her themselves.
