The weather is wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand. A giant tree fell due to strong winds in Tehri. Two children returning from school died after being hit by it. There is mourning in the area since the accident.
Children hit by giant tree
The accident is said to have happened on Saturday afternoon. Two children were returning from school in Pilkhi Nail located in Ghansali. During this time, rain and strong winds started blowing. Due to which the giant pine tree on the road fell on the ground. Then the children passing by got hit by the tree.
The teenager and the girl used to study in Government Inter College
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the team of police, SDRF and tehsil administration reached the spot. After a lot of hard work, the children were taken out. But by then both the children had died. Both the children used to study in Government Inter College Ghumetidhar.
