Israel, we are not afraid of war… Syrian President came forward after IDF’s fierce air strikes, challenged Netanyahu

Syria’s interim President Ahmed Al Shara has said that his government is committed to the safety of the Druze community. Israel’s allegations of atrocities against the Druze against his government are not correct. Shara condemned Israel’s attacks on his country’s capital Damascus and other cities and said that a strong response will be given to this. He warned Israel that Syria is not afraid of war. This is Shara’s first statement after the violence with the Druze community in Syria’s Sweida province and Israel’s air strikes in Damascus.
In his first television address after Israel’s air strikes on Syria’s capital Damascus, Al Shara clearly said that Syrians are not afraid of war. In such a situation, the Israeli army and the Netanyahu government should not cross their limits. More than 350 people have been killed in clashes between Druze militia and Bedouin tribes in Sweida province. Although the army is withdrawing from Sweida after the Syrian government’s ceasefire with Druze leaders, it is not clear whether the agreement will last or not.
We will fight for the people: Shara
After the fierce Israeli attack, Syrian President Al Shara addressed the people of his country and said, ‘We have put the interest of the Syrian people above death and destruction. If the dignity of the people is threatened, we will fight. I want to say that do not be afraid of war.
Shara further said, ‘I assure that we will not let the Israeli efforts succeed. We are one but Israel is breaking our society. It is not easy for Israel or any country to do this in Syria. We will not let the conspiracy to break Syria succeed.’
Israel attacks in support of Druze
The Israeli army has carried out air strikes in Syria after violence between Druze and tribes in Syria. Israel has carried out these attacks in support of Druze. The Israeli army targeted several buildings and the entry gate of the Syrian Defense Ministry in the capital Damascus. On the other hand, the Syrian President, enraged by this, has called Israel’s claim of supporting Druze an attempt to break Syrian society.
