The three-tier panchayat elections going on in Uttarakhand these days are in their final phase. Due to this, today Doon Police and STF, taking joint action, have recovered a stock of election liquor along with three smugglers from two different places.

202 boxes of English liquor recovered from pickup vehicle

Due to which Kotwali Vikasnagar Police has arrested two people from Haryana during checking on Saturday morning. 202 boxes of English liquor have been recovered from the pickup vehicle with the accused.

31 boxes of illegal liquor recovered from Sahaspur
On the information given by the accused arrested by the police, Sahaspur Kotwali police raided a house in Fatehpur area. Where the police recovered 31 boxes of illegal liquor kept illegally. Along with this, one person was also arrested from the spot. Police recovered the liquor and seized the vehicle and registered a case against the three accused under the relevant sections and sent them to jail.
