Uttarakhand: Mid day meal scam, UPNL employee embezzled Rs 3 crore

A mid-day meal scam has come to light in the capital Dehradun. The UPNL employee embezzled about three crore rupees by committing corruption in the food meant for children. On the other hand, the education department is going to register a case in this matter.

The UPNL employee was doing this scam for the last three years and the department did not even get a clue of it. The employee was so clever that he deposited the amount meant for mid-day meal to the schools in his and his family’s account. On the other hand, when the department got a clue of corruption on such a large scale, there was a stir. The department is not only preparing to file a complaint against the accused employee with the police. But it is also collecting information about it from the concerned bank. However, the bank has refused to give information about any account. On the other hand, the department has currently started investigation at its own level.

The UPNL employee was doing the scam for about three years. We are preparing to register a case against him along with filing a complaint with the police. As far as the cooperation of the bank is concerned, if the bank also does not cooperate in the investigation, then a complaint will also be given to the police.
