Uttarakhand Agricultural Production Marketing Board Chairman Anil Kapoor Dabbu says that no kind of corruption and irregularities will be tolerated in the market. Information is being gathered about the officer against whom the Vigilance has taken action. He said that the Dhami government is working on zero tolerance. Any kind of negligence and corruption will not be tolerated at all.
He said that if any employee of the Mandi Parishad is found doing irregularities or corruption, strict action will be taken against him. The Secretary-in-charge of Kashipur Mandi Samiti has been arrested red-handed by the Vigilance while taking a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh. A committee has been formed to investigate in this regard.
Instructions to three-member investigation committee to submit report within 15 days: A three-member investigation committee will investigate this matter. The committee will have to submit its investigation report within 15 days. He further said that following the zero tolerance policy, corruption will not be tolerated at any cost. Whoever’s role is found suspicious in the investigation, strict departmental action will also be taken against him.
He also said that from time to time, Mandi Parishad officials will conduct surprise inspections of mandis. Where negligence or irregularity is found, strict action will be taken on the spot. Therefore, now the officers and employees involved in irregularities and corruption will not be spared under any circumstances.
Kashipur Mandi Samiti official was arrested while taking bribe: It is worth noting that recently the in-charge secretary of Kashipur Krishi Utpadan Mandi Samiti was arrested red-handed by the vigilance team while taking a bribe of ₹ 1.20 lakh from two people in the name of renewing the licenses of the shops of the fruit and vegetable Mandi Samiti. It is being told that the secretary in charge of the committee was going to retire after about 7-8 months.
He had taken over the charge of the secretary in charge of the committee only two months ago. Before this, he had worked as an accountant there for about 15-20 years. He was made the secretary in charge only 2 months ago. After this irregularity in the Mandi, the Mandi Parishad now seems serious.
