Principal Secretary Finance R.K. Sudhanshu reviewed the progress of linking the state government personnel with the Corporate Saving Bank Salary Scheme in the Secretariat. In the meeting, it came to light that till now only about 60 percent of the approximately 01 lakh 56 thousand government personnel of the state have been covered under the scheme. On this, the Principal Secretary expressed displeasure and directed to link all the government personnel with the scheme soon.

The state government has signed contracts with State Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank, Indian Bank and District Cooperative Bank for the purpose of providing free insurance cover and other financial benefits to the government personnel under the Corporate Salary Package Scheme through various banks. This scheme is fully financed by the banks and is being made available free of cost to all the personnel of the state.

The Principal Secretary directed the Director, Treasury, Pension and Entitlement to send information to all the personnel for coverage under the scheme through the IFMS portal. For the smooth implementation of the scheme, a meeting should be organized with bank representatives and SOP should be prepared. Nodal officers should be appointed by the department and banks so that the personnel can get information and solutions related to the scheme quickly. He said that this scheme will be reviewed again soon.

Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Additional Secretary Himanshu Khurana, Arunendra Chauhan, Director Treasury Amita Joshi and representatives of the concerned banks were present in the meeting.
