6 devotees have died in the stampede incident at Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, while the condition of many devotees is critical. Police and medical teams are on the spot. Relief and rescue operations are going on. At the same time, President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have expressed grief over the accident. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dhami has also announced compensation.

“The news of the death of many devotees in the stampede accident on the way to Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar is very painful. I express my deepest condolences to all the bereaved families. I pray that all the injured devotees get well soon.”

Prime Minister Modi expressed grief over the accident
Prime Minister Modi has expressed grief over the accident on Mansa Devi road. The Prime Minister’s Office posted on social media ‘X’ and wrote,
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of life and property in the stampede on the Mansa Devi temple road in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. The local administration is helping the affected people.”
Announcement by Pushkar Singh Dhami
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident and has also announced compensation for the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Dhami posted on social media ‘X’ and wrote,
“The news of the death of 6 people in the heart-wrenching accident on the Mansa Devi temple road in Haridwar is very sad. I pray to God to give place to the souls of the deceased in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief. The state government will provide assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured. Along with this, instructions have also been given for a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Do not pay attention to rumours – Secretary Disaster Management
Dehradun. Secretary Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Vinod Kumar Suman has appealed to the devotees to not pay attention to rumours and trust only the information being issued by the administration. Describing the safety of the devotees as the top priority, he said that the state government is taking all necessary steps and no laxity will be tolerated in relief work.
