Preparations are being made to make the conversion law more stringent in Uttarakhand. On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting of senior officials in the Secretariat. In the meeting, the CM gave clear instructions that any attempt to change the demography of Uttarakhand should be strictly stopped.
Conversion law will be made strict in Uttarakhand
Chief Minister Dhami said in the meeting that the state is a border state as well as the holy land of Sanatan, so such activities have to be monitored completely. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the police to take strict action on suspicious cases and give proper counseling and guidance to those trapped in the trap of conversion.
SIT will be formed at the police headquarters level
The CM said that in view of the recent incidents, immediate steps should be taken to make the conversion law more stringent. The CM said that ‘Operation Kalanemi’ has been successful in cracking down on such elements and it will have to be continued further. He ordered the formation of an SIT at the police headquarters level, which will monitor these cases and ensure strict action.
