Uttarakhand: Government came into action after Mansa Devi incident, CM held a high level meeting, gave instructions to make changes in temples

Eight devotees have died in the stampede at Mansa Devi temple on July 27. While 30 devotees are injured who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. After this accident, the Dhami government has come into action. CM Dhami held a high-level meeting with the officials at the Secretariat on Monday.
CM held a high-level meeting after Mansa Devi accident
In the meeting, the CM gave instructions for the planned development of major religious places of the state including Mansa Devi Temple, Neelkanth Mahadev, Dhari Devi, Purnagiri Temple, Kainchi Dham and Jageshwar in view of the increase in pilgrimage and the number of devotees.
The carrying capacity of Mansa Devi temple will be increased
The CM directed the officials to remove encroachment from the staircase of Mansa Devi temple as soon as possible. Along with this, the CM has also given instructions for quick action on road widening. The CM gave instructions to increase the carrying capacity of the temple complex, organize the shops and further strengthen the darshan system. He also said that the number of darshan should be controlled by registering devotees in all the major temples of Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami gave instructions to form a committee
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Dhami gave instructions to form a committee under the chairmanship of the commissioners of both the divisions for the effective implementation of these works. The Chief Minister said that the committee will include the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vice President of Development Authorities and implementing agencies of the said district.
