There have been reports of tourists being stranded at many places, on which he said that as soon as information is received, the concerned states are being informed.
Chinook lands in Harshil for relief operations
Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan said that the help of the Air Force is also being taken in relief operations. Today, for the first time, a Chinook helicopter landed in Harshil for relief operations. Through this, necessary equipment and materials have also been sent along with NDRF personnel.
35 people were transported to Jolly Grant Airport
According to the data so far, 35 people have been transported to Jolly Grant Airport by Chinook helicopter. At the same time, a total of 135 people have been rescued till 12 noon today. This operation is still going on and the administration is trying to transport the remaining stranded people to safe places as soon as possible.
