The weather in Uttarakhand is still in its fierce form. Heavy rain warning has been issued for nine districts of the state on Friday as well. Which also includes Uttarkashi and Dehradun. Heavy rain can increase problems for people in mountainous areas (today’s weather). It has been raining heavily in the state for the last two-three days. On the other hand, there was some relief on Thursday. But there were heavy showers at some places.
The Meteorological Department issued an alert
The rescue operation in Dharali of Uttarkashi gained momentum due to the clear weather yesterday. But now the warning of the Meteorological Department has once again increased the concern. The weather in Dehradun also remained clear and the temperature has increased due to sunshine.
Heavy rain alert in these nine districts
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for nine districts today. There is a warning of heavy rain in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Champawat districts. At some places, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain with lightning. The weather is likely to remain the same for the next two days.
Ban on the journey to the three Dhams
Due to bad weather and closure of roads as well as disaster, the journey to the three Dhams has been stopped. The journey to Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri Dham has been stopped for the time being. At the same time, only small vehicles are being allowed to go to Yamunotri Dham. Due to the alert of heavy rain in Kedarnath, the journey was stopped till August 7 and 8.
Apart from this, 30 meters of Badrinath Highway beyond Pipalkoti was washed away. Due to which the journey to Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib has also been banned.
