Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Vegetable vendor duped of Rs 5000 by showing fake UPI payment

In Nehru Colony police station area, a vegetable vendor was duped of Rs 5,000 by showing a fake UPI payment. Police have registered a case against unknown persons on Thursday and started investigating the matter.

Shitla Vihar resident Kamlesh Gupta told in the complaint that on August 6, he was going home after selling vegetables late at night. During this time, a young man came to him and started asking for cash in exchange for UPI payment. On this, he gave Rs 5,000 in cash to the young man and he showed a UPI payment of Rs 5,000. After this, when he checked the phone, the money did not come. SHO Sanjeet Kumar said that the police is investigating the matter.
