Uttarakhand: Human skeleton found floating in Sarana river

A human skeleton that had come floating in the Sarana river in Selaqui police station area got stuck on the bank of an island. The police team took out the skeleton. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team collected evidence from the skeleton and also preserved the DNA.

Police station in-charge PD Bhatt said that on Saturday, Rajesh Mall, a resident of Retiwala, reported seeing a human skeleton on an island in the Sarana river near the Gujjar camp. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot. The human skeleton is stuck on an island in the middle of the river. The Sarana river was in spate. The policemen crossed the river and reached the island. The policemen brought the skeleton to the shore. On receiving the information, the FSL team reached the spot. The team collected evidence from the human skeleton. The DNA was also preserved. The police station in-charge said that information about the skeleton will be available after DNA testing.
