The weather in Uttarakhand has been bad for the last few days. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rains for Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts on August 12. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain bad in Uttarakhand on August 13 as well.
Schools will remain closed in Chamoli till August 14
After the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the Chamoli district administration has declared a holiday on August 13 and 14 in all the schools of the district, including all government, non-government and private schools from class 1 to 12, as well as all the Anganwadi centers operating in the district. Orders have been issued in this regard. It has also been clarified that strict action will be taken against those who disobey the order.

Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the capital Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Bageshwar districts on August 13. In view of this, a red alert has been issued for these districts. Also, in view of the possibility of landslides in the hilly districts, instructions have been given to be cautious. After the forecast of the Meteorological Department, DMs of all the districts have come on alert mode.
