On Monday, the Public Works Department measured and marked the houses coming under the purview of road widening (bypass road) for about two kilometers from Mahavir Mandir Chauraha to Taktakpur Gas Godown via Mirapur Bashi. The Public Works Department has been given the responsibility of widening the road of the Municipal Corporation.
The Public Works Department has sent the primary proposal to the government after conducting the survey, but now it has started measuring regarding the cost involved. Due to the presence of TFC on Sindhora Road from Bhojubir Chauraha, VIP programs are held every day. This road was also widened but could not be sufficient due to lack of space.
There is often a traffic jam at Bhojubir Chauraha due to encroachment. To go to this route from the district headquarters or circuit house, the passersby have to take a U-turn from Tehsil Sadar. There is always a traffic jam around Bhojubir Chauraha.
At the same time, on the road from Mahavir Mandir Chauraha to Taktakpur, many colonies along with the villagers live. There are hospitals on this route, due to which patients face problems in commuting.
At the same time, local people are also ready for road widening. They are saying that they will demolish the houses themselves after getting compensation for their land. People of Sonkar Nagar, Hans Nagar, Pratap Nagar, Kailashpuri Colony, Ajay Vihar, Sai Dham, Radhapuram, Shyampuri, Gautam Vihar Colony, Anaula Village, Bashi area will benefit from road widening.
