Almora police has arrested three people in the firing case in Dwarahat block pramukh election. In fact, on August 15, Kailash Bhatt, husband of Dwarahat block pramukh election candidate Mamta Bhatt, gave a complaint to the police alleging that on August 14, some people entered his hotel and shot him with a revolver and tried to kill him. In the case of a deadly attack in Dwarahat over election rivalry, the police has arrested three accused within 36 hours.
Big action by police in the firing incident in Dwarahat block pramukh election
After Kailash Bhatt’s complaint, a police team was formed on the instructions of SSP Almora and after searching the footage of about 50 CCTV cameras, it came to light that Mahendra Singh Ghanela alias Sonu Ghanela was seen firing in the footage. After which on August 16, the police arrested three people in this case from Almora Karbala.
Three arrested in Dwarahat firing case
After the arrest, Sonu confessed during interrogation that the revolver used in the incident was thrown in Bhimtal lake by them due to checking while returning to Haldwani. After which these three escaped from the police and came towards Almora. At present, the police has sent all the three accused to jail and further investigation of the case is going on.
