Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tabled the supplementary budget in the assembly session held in Bhararisain (Gairsain) today. Which will be passed tomorrow. The head of the state has given information about what is special in the supplementary budget.

While talking to the media, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this supplementary budget of Rs 5,315 crore has been prepared by assimilating the mantra of PM Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. The CM said that this budget is not just a document of figures, but our resolve towards sustainable development, inclusive development, innovation and economic strength.

The CM said that our focus is on investment in the human capital of the state and inclusive development of every section. This budget has been prepared keeping in mind the welfare of all sections including farmers, workers, poor, women, youth, security forces and journalists. The CM said that adequate provisions have been made in the state for electricity tariff subsidy, health schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, police personnel housing, rest house for attendants and martyr and journalist welfare funds.

Disaster mitigation has been given priority

Chief Minister Dhami said that the government has also given priority to disaster mitigation and environmental balance, so that there is a balance between ‘ecology’ and ‘economy’. Effective budgetary provisions have been made for landslides, earthquake risk, spring mapping, and disaster relief. The CM said that special importance has also been given to Rispana-Bindal elevated road, Pantnagar airport expansion, Kumbh Mela infrastructure and tourism development towards infrastructure development.

Nanda Rajjat Yatra is being strengthened: CM

CM Dhami said the government is committed to develop Rishikesh as a yoga city and Haridwar as a spiritual tourist city. Along with this, cultural and religious events like Nanda Rajjat Yatra and Sharda River Front are also being strengthened. The Chief Minister said that this supplementary budget is another strong step towards a new Uttarakhand. He said, “I appeal to the people of the state to support us in this development journey.
