Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed the Cooperative Department in the Secretariat. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the computerization and data migration work of MPAX should be completed by December 31, 2025. He directed that the physical data should be completely closed from January 1, 2026. Regular monitoring should be done so that computerization and data updating can be completed on time. He said that the District Magistrate and District Level Cooperative Officer in the districts and the Secretary at the state level will monitor it. Said that a timeline should be set for data updating and circulated to all.
The Chief Secretary said that new MPAX, Milk and Fisheries Committees should be formed to increase the reach of cooperative institutions to untouched Gram Panchayats. Also, milk production and quality should be improved through modern techniques. He said that there is a need to work towards empowering women and rural families by promoting dairy as a sustainable livelihood.
The Chief Secretary said that the total transactions in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras being run through MPAX are very low. He has instructed to set targets to increase it. He said that efforts should be made to increase it to 2 crore monthly by December 2025.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary L Fenai, Secretary Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, CGM NABARD Pankaj Yadav, Registrar Cooperative Meherban Singh Bisht and Additional Secretary Himanshu Khurana along with other senior officers and District Magistrates from the districts were present through video conferencing.
