Former Chief Minister and currently Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat is often in the headlines for his outspoken statements. His sharp comments on issues like deteriorating law and order in the state, illegal mining and land mafia have often made the government uncomfortable. In such a situation, once again he has raised questions about law and order. He also issued a reaction on the Himanshu Chamoli case and the matter related to the former Chief Minister’s nephew.
Wrote a letter to DGP: Trivendra Rawat once again raised questions on the state police on the BJP Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader Himanshu Chamoli case. Trivendra said that, he had said earlier also and is saying once again that the police should do the work that is theirs. He told that about 1 month ago in July some people came to him and in this case he met the victims and wrote a letter to the Director General of Police of the state on this matter. But till date neither any reply has come to that letter nor any action has been taken on it. Whereas everything was written in the letter that the action should also be informed. But this did not happen.
These cases are tarnishing the image of Uttarakhand: Trivendra Rawat said that this does not happen usually. But in this case the police was very negligent. He said that it is true that many such cases are coming and this is a very serious matter. For a state like Uttarakhand where honesty and simplicity are in the blood of the people and if the police does not take such incidents seriously, then the atmosphere of disappointment and frustration increases in the state. He said that many people are suffering from this kind of problem and are also contacting. He has also appealed to the Chief Minister to take the problem of these people seriously.
Party’s image tarnished due to Himanshu Chamoli case: Himanshu Chamoli’s case is not only related to fraud and harassment. Rather it is also related to BJP. Trivendra Rawat said that the workers are the cover of the party and the cleaner the cover, the clearer and brighter the image of the party will be. This is the reason that whenever a party organization is formed, care should be taken that a tainted person should not get such a post, which will taint the entire party.
He said that many times such people try to join the party, who join for their own production or for their own selfish interests and it is a bit difficult to identify such people. But the party is working on this subject at its own level. He said that the supporter can be of any kind. But the party official should have a transparent image. It should be kept in mind that he should not tarnish the image of the party.
Trivendra spoke on the harassment of Tirath’s nephew: After the Himanshu Chamoli episode, MP Trivendra Singh Rawat also recorded his statement in front of the media on the harassment of former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat’s nephew. He said that he also calls us uncle and it is very sad to see that if this is happening with the nephew of a former Chief Minister, then what effect will it have on the common people. He said that such incidents create a feeling of disappointment among the common people. They lose faith in the government and the police.
