Deadline for filing ITR

This year the Income Tax Department had extended the last date for filing returns from 30 July to 15 September. Due to which taxpayers got a full 46 days extra. This is for those people who do not need to get their account audited. Those who have to get it done will have to file their ITR before 31 October 2025.

UPS Deadline

Central government employees who come under the National Pension System (NPS) have only time till 30 September to choose the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). Let us tell you that the earlier deadline was 30 June. But in view of the sluggish response of government employees to switch from NPS to UPS, this deadline was extended by 90 days.

Changes are also happening in the post office

Now from September 1, 2025, registered post and speed post will be available. The Department of Posts (DoP) has decided to merge the two. That is, now from September 1, if you send any registered post through Indian Post within the country, its delivery will be done by speed post only. Registered post services are ending from September 1. Now all will come under the speed post category.

From September 1, SBI is going to change the rules of its credit card. Changes are being made in the reward point program in some cards. From now on, card holders will not get reward points for transactions on digital gaming, government websites and merchants platforms.

Last date to update Aadhaar card for free

The deadline for updating Aadhaar for free was extended by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for three months. Under which people will be able to update their Aadhaar for free till 14 September 2025.
