The government has postponed the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib Yatra till September 5. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that due to heavy rains, the routes are being obstructed due to landslides and debris in many places in the state. Which the government is opening on priority, but keeping in view the safety and convenience of the passengers, it has been decided to postpone the journey for the time being.
Appeal not to depart on travel routes: Commissioner
The Garhwal Commissioner has appealed to the passengers not to depart on the travel routes at present in view of the adverse weather conditions. Also follow the instructions issued by the district administration. Apart from this, the journey will be resumed after the weather becomes normal and the route is completely safe.
