Uttarakhand: Prostitution racket in Dehradun! Police raided the place, eyes widened at the sight
Dehradun Police has exposed a sex racket in Vikasnagar. It is being told that prostitution was going on in a rented house. On the confidential information received by SSP Dehradun, police raided a house in Herbertpur. Police was stunned to see the scene inside.
Prostitution was going on in a rented house
According to the police, SSP Ajay Singh of Dehradun had received confidential information. In which it was told that immoral prostitution was being done in a house located in Herbertpur in Vikasnagar. On receiving the information, the team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit along with the police immediately reached the spot late last night.
Four people found in objectionable condition
The police team raided Ward No. 5 near Sonia Basti near Bijli Ghar in Herbertpur. During the raid, the police found 2 men and 2 women in objectionable condition in different rooms of the house, from whom objectionable material was also recovered.
Police arrested five accused
Police arrested all five including the caretaker of the house from the spot. Cases have been registered against all the people under relevant sections. The accused have been identified as Jai Narayan Sharma (45) resident of Uttarkashi, Hari Kishor (45) resident of Vikas Nagar, Vicky (26) resident of Herbertpur, Anchal (23) Uttar Pradesh and Simran Chaudhary (26) resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Caretaker made revelations during interrogation
During interrogation, the caretaker of the house Jai Narayan told that the said house has been rented by a person named Rajkumar, in which he calls women from other states and makes them do immoral prostitution. Narayan used to look after the care and management of the house there.
Narayan told that Rajkumar used to contact the customers on phone and deal with them and call them to the room. Jai Narayan used to take money from them and send them to the young women. Let us tell you that the main accused Rajkumar has already been to jail in the past for immoral trafficking, for whose arrest the police is continuously raiding the possible places.
