However, the effect of these festivals is seen in the functioning of the bank. Due to festivals, there is going to be a total of 15 days of bank holiday in this month i.e. September (Bank Holiday 2025). In which nine days are festivals. In such a situation, if you have some work in the bank, then before that know on which day the bank is closed.

  • 4 September (Thursday): Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • 5 September (Friday): Eid-e-Milad / Thiruvonam in many cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai,
  • Delhi, Hyderabad.
  • 6 September (Saturday): Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
  • 7 September (Sunday Weekly Holiday)
  • 12 September (Friday): Friday after Eid-e-Milad in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • 13 September (Second Saturday Weekly Holiday)
  • 14 September (Sunday Weekly Holiday)
  • 21 September (Sunday Weekly Holiday)
  • 22 September (Monday): Navratri Sthapana in Jaipur.
  • 23 September (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Jayanti in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • 27 September (Fourth Saturday)
  • 28 September (Sunday Weekly Holiday)
  • 29 September (Monday): Maha Saptami/Durga Puja in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.
  • 30 September (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami in many cities including Agartala, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
