Uttarakhand: 23,000 candidates appeared for the exam in Nainital; the administration was put on high alert after the arrest of a cheating mafia.

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Service Commission (USSC) examination for recruitment to various departments began today across the state. Following the arrest of cheating mafia members by the police on Saturday, the administration is on high alert. Strict security arrangements have been made at all examination centers to ensure a fair and transparent examination.
SDM Inspects Examination Center
ADM Vivek Rai inspected the Guru Teg Bahadur Inter College examination center on Thandi Road in Haldwani. He closely reviewed the security arrangements, checking systems, and other arrangements at the center. The ADM stated that approximately 23,000 candidates are appearing for the examination across the district. For this purpose, 46 examination centers have been set up in Haldwani, 3 in Kaladhungi, and 8 in Ramnagar.
Section 144 imposed around examination centers
The SDM stated that police are conducting strict checking of candidates to prevent any disturbances. Security has been increased by imposing Section 144 around the examination centers. Jammers have been installed at all centers to prevent misuse of mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets. Sector and zonal magistrates have also been deployed to monitor the examination.
