“Just let me return from the US…” Four countries, including Britain and Canada, responded; Netanyahu’s temper rose.

Britain, Canada, Portugal, and Australia granted Palestine nationhood on Sunday. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his displeasure over this decision by the four countries. He described this as an attempt to reward terrorism by recognizing it.

Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that this will not happen and that there will be no Palestinian state west of the Jordan River. Netanyahu stated that Israel will respond to this decision after returning from the United States.

What else did Netanyahu say?
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said, “For the past several years, despite domestic and foreign pressure, I have prevented the creation of that terrorist state.” Netanyahu said, “We have done this with determination and deft diplomacy. We have doubled the number of Jews in Judea and Samaria, and we will continue on this path.”

These comments by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu are considered extremely significant because these four countries have traditionally been allies of Israel. These four countries have now recognized Palestine as a nation. However, it is believed that a detailed debate on this issue may take place in the United Nations General Assembly.

What did the British PM say?
It is noteworthy that on September 21, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal formally recognized Palestine as a sovereign nation. British PM Keir Starmer has reacted to this decision. He said that this recognition is a step towards a two-state solution that does not benefit Hamas.

Canadian PM Mark Carney said that this is a step towards peaceful coexistence and the end of Hamas. Meanwhile, Australian PM Anthony Albanese said that this is necessary to accelerate a solution between the two nations.
