Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary released the poster and brochure of the proposed 6th Dehradun International Science and Technology Festival at Vigyan Dham.

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has stated that a well-organized and well-structured platform will be created to ensure consistent dialogue, better coordination, and continued collaboration to ensure optimal utilization of scientific institutions of national importance located in Uttarakhand for the benefit of the state.

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan expressed these views while releasing the poster and brochure for the sixth Dehradun International Science and Technology Festival, scheduled to be held at Vigyan Dham from November 12th to 14th, at a program held in the auditorium of the Doon Library and Research Centre. Congratulating the organizers for the proposed festival, the Chief Secretary noted that rapid changes are taking place due to the ever-increasing advancements in science and technology. Such events prove crucial in connecting society, especially the younger generation, with science and technology and inspiring them to pursue these fields.

The Chief Secretary emphasized the need to focus on promoting research and development in fundamental science, the mother of technology. He emphasized that as a Himalayan state, science and technology are extremely essential and important for Uttarakhand. Dehradun and Uttarakhand are home to numerous national-level scientific and educational institutions, whose cooperation is sought from time to time in various fields for the benefit of the state. Special attention will be paid to ensuring maximum cooperation and better coordination from all important institutions in the interest of Uttarakhand. The Chief Secretary also directed UCOST and the Department of Science and Technology to ensure effective initiatives in this direction.

On this occasion, Secretary of Uttarakhand Government Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Chandresh Yadav, Deependra Chaudhary, HESCO founder Padma Bhushan Anil Joshi, Uttarakhand Petroleum University Vice Chancellor Ram Sharma, UCOST Joint Director D.P. Uniyal, etc. expressed their views. The program was conducted by Kunwar Raj Asthana.
