Uttarakhand: Dhami reiterated his commitment to ensure that all roads in the state are pothole-free soon, and directed officials at the meeting.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday, directed officials to ensure that all roads in the state are pothole-free at the earliest, ensuring better transportation facilities for the general public. It was reported that 52 percent of the patchwork has been completed so far.
The Chief Minister urged that the remaining work be completed at a rapid pace. He directed that the secretaries in charge of all districts regularly visit their districts to communicate with the public and expedite the implementation of various development and public welfare schemes of the government.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that construction and reconstruction work be prioritized in disaster-affected areas of the state. He said that essential infrastructure in the affected areas should be rebuilt quickly to provide relief to the local population. The Chief Minister also stressed the need for the speedy repair of damaged bridges and the acceleration of the construction of new bridges.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure quality and transparency in the work. He said that the state government is committed to providing safe, convenient and better infrastructure facilities to the public and for this all the departments will have to work with coordination and alertness.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Secretary Vineet Kumar and other officers of the Public Works Department were present on this occasion.
