Uttarakhand: NABARD to organise ‘Apple Festival 2.0’ tomorrow

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organized a one-day “Apple Festival 1.0” last year at its regional office premises to provide a platform for apple and kiwi farmers and farmer producer organizations in Uttarakhand to connect directly with customers. Encouraged by its success, “Apple Festival 2.0” is being organized this year.
NABARD has promoted farmer producer organizations and self-help groups of marginal and small farmers in the state. At this festival, “A” grade Royal Delicious, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious apples produced by a NABARD-supported farmer producer organization in the Harshil Valley, kiwi fruit produced using natural methods by farmers in Kapkot, and exquisite mountain products (walnuts, kidney beans, GI-tagged products, juices, pickles, handloom products, herbs, etc.) from other farmer producer organizations and self-help groups will be available for purchase.
Ganesh Joshi, Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Uttarakhand, Government of Uttarakhand, has agreed to the inauguration on October 9, 2025, at 10:00 am.
