Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 118th All India Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Industry Exhibition held at Pantnagar University on Sunday. The Chief Minister inaugurated new pulse varieties produced by Pantnagar University and released a book titled “Pantnagar Pravah.”
Over 400 Stalls Set Up at the Exhibition
Addressing the Silver Jubilee State Foundation Seminar and Dialogue Program held at the fair, the Chief Minister said that over 400 stalls have been set up at this year’s Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Exhibition, of which over 200 were set up by industries, startups, and entrepreneurs involved in the agricultural sector from various states across the country. Through such agricultural fairs, our farmers can gain access to information on the latest agricultural techniques, improved seeds, modern equipment, and new research in one place.
PM Modi gives a gift to the nation’s food providers: CM
Chief Minister Dhami said, “I am confident that through the modern technologies and innovations being showcased at this fair, our farmers will be able to make their farming even more productive, sustainable, and profitable by adopting new scientific methods alongside traditional methods.” The CM said that PM Modi has given a major gift to the nation’s food providers by launching the “PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana” worth 24 thousand crore rupees and the “Pulses Productivity Mission” costing approximately 11 thousand 500 crore rupees to promote pulse production.
