In Uttarakhand, the Congress launched a signature campaign, “Vote Thief, Leave the Throne,” on Monday. Uttarakhand Congress in-charge Kumari Selja also participated in the event held in Laksar, Haridwar. State President Karan Mahra, former President Ganesh Godiyal, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Yashpal Arya, along with Jwalapur MLA Ravi Bahadur and Haridwar Rural MLA Anupama Rawat were also present. During the event, Congress leaders strongly targeted the BJP.
Congress leaders alleged that the BJP is a vote-stealing party. They alleged that the BJP is involved in all kinds of theft. Now, the public has decided to oust it. Congress leaders also accused the Election Commission, claiming that it is working under pressure from the BJP government.
Congress leaders said that the BJP is stealing even from your kitchen. They are stealing the future of the youth. They are stealing votes. There is no theft that the BJP is not committing. They said that there are millions of voters whose votes are cancelled during elections. But the names of such voters are added to the list for their own benefit. The BJP is operating under a deliberate ploy; now we must expose that ploy and ensure the success of Mission 2027.
Uttarakhand Congress state in-charge Kumari Selja said that the Election Commission is a puppet of the BJP government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has exposed the ongoing vote theft in the country with evidence. However, the Election Commission has remained silent on such a major issue. She appealed to party workers to guard their voting booths.
NSUI March in Dehradun: On Monday, NSUI students and youth held a march in Dehradun against the rising unemployment and drug addiction in the state. The march, led by student union leader Harish Joshi, took place from Gandhi Park to the statue of the late Rajiv Gandhi on Dispensary Road. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and former Congress state president and Chakrata MLA Pritam Singh also participated.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has alleged that the BJP government in Uttarakhand has made the youth unemployed and drug addicts. Drugs are available everywhere in the state, but the state government has failed to stop them. Accusing the BJP government, Harish Rawat said that the biggest challenges facing today’s young generation are employment and drug abuse.
Harish Rawat said, “The government is unable to provide them with employment, but is instead distributing drugs to every household. Blessed is a government that is working to distribute drugs everywhere. There is no area in Uttarakhand where these drugs are not reaching. In fact, the BJP members themselves are drug dealers. They want to make our young generation and their future addicted to drugs. In Uttarakhand, the government is constantly creating drama, sometimes with paper leaks and sometimes with the postponement of recruitments.
The BJP wants to form a third front in the state: Meanwhile, yesterday, officials of the Unemployed Association met the Chief Minister and expressed their gratitude for the cancellation of recruitment exams. Harish Rawat remained silent on the meeting of the Unemployed Association with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. However, he did say that the BJP is making every effort to establish a Third Front in Uttarakhand, so that it can field vote-cutting candidates in the elections.
