On October 15th, the BJP released its second list of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. Folk singer Maithili Thakur’s name is also included in this list, confirming her candidacy for the Alinagar seat. Maithili joined the BJP on October 14th, sparking speculation about her contesting seat. The second list includes the names of 12 BJP candidates.

Maithili Thakur has been nominated by the party for Alinagar. Dr. Siyaram Singh has also been given a ticket from Barh. Gyanendra Gyanu’s ticket has been denied from this constituency. The party has nominated former IPS officer Anand Mishra for Buxar.

Kedar Nath Singh from Baniapur, CN Gupta from Chhapra, Ranjan Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Mahesh Paswan from Agiaon, Birendra Kumar from Rosera, Ramchandra Prasad from Hayaghat, Rakesh Ojha from Shahpur, and Subhash Singh from Gopalganj have been given tickets.
