Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the disaster-affected areas of Sahastradhara on Diwali. During this visit, the Chief Minister met with the disaster-affected people of Kali Gad, Majhada village, and the Sahastradhara area and listened to their problems. The Chief Minister also conducted on-site inspections of the ongoing reconstruction work in the affected areas.

Setting an example of sensitivity and affection, CM Dhami celebrated Diwali among the disaster-affected families. The Chief Minister personally visited their homes and interacted with a large number of women and children. The Chief Minister directed officials to conduct river training as per the villagers’ demand. He also directed the construction of a protective wall to protect the village.

The CM inquired about the well-being of the affected families and assured them of all possible assistance and rehabilitation. The CM stated that the government stands firmly with those affected by the disaster. The suffering of every person affected by the disaster is the suffering of the government. The CM stated that Diwali is not just a festival of lights, but also a festival of compassion and unity.

CM issued instructions to expedite reconstruction work

The CM directed officials to expedite reconstruction work in the disaster-affected areas so that affected families can receive relief as soon as possible. The CM stated that children’s education should not be disrupted under any circumstances due to the disaster.

The CM stated that arrangements for alternative housing for families whose homes were damaged in the disaster are being made on a priority basis. He also stated that arrangements for rent payments for affected families currently living on rent will also be made according to prescribed standards. The affected families were overjoyed to see the CM among them on Diwali.
