Entry of pilgrims to Adi Kailash will be closed, administration took a big decision due to this

A high-altitude ultra marathon is scheduled to be held in the Adi Kailash region of Uttarakhand on November 2nd. Consequently, the administration has stopped issuing permits for tourists traveling to Adi Kailash.
Entry to Adi Kailash will be closed
The administration has taken this step to provide a safe and peaceful environment for runners. According to the Tourism Department, approximately 1,000 runners from across the country will participate in this ultra marathon. To facilitate the runners’ accommodation, food, and route arrangements, permits will no longer be issued to Adi Kailash travelers starting October 25th.
The administration took this step for this reason:
Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Garbyal stated that the decision to stop permits is solely for travelers, not for runners or their families. If the number of tourists were to increase during the marathon, runners could face inconvenience and their arrangements would be affected. Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Garbyal explained that Uttarakhand is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.
Uttarakhand becomes the first state to host a high-altitude marathon
The Secretary stated that the High Altitude Ultra Marathon has been organized as the main event. Uttarakhand is the first state in India to host a high-altitude marathon organized by the state government itself. The Secretary stated that as soon as the marathon concludes, permits will be reissued to tourists, ensuring a smooth and safe journey to Adi Kailash.
