Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached among the disaster-affected families of Rudraprayag on the folk festival Igas and had food with the affected people

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited village Bhaunr in the Vasukedar tehsil of Rudraprayag district today on the occasion of the Igas festival. He met with families affected by the recent disaster and conducted an on-site review of relief and reconstruction work.
Expressing his deepest condolences to the families who suffered loss of life and property during the disaster, the Chief Minister presented cheques of Rs. 5 lakh each to the families of deceased forest worker Kuldeep Singh Negi and Satte Singh as financial assistance. He stated that the state government is fully committed to the rehabilitation and relief efforts of the affected families and that no victim will be left alone.
The Chief Minister personally met with the disaster-affected people in village Bhaunr and listened attentively to their experiences and problems. He directed officials to provide timely relief assistance to all affected families and expedite reconstruction work on a priority basis.
He stated that all damaged structures in the disaster-affected area, including roads, drinking water, electricity, housing, and communication systems, were being rapidly rebuilt so that people could return to normal life as soon as possible.
Chief Minister Dhami also shared lunch with the disaster-affected families and spent time with them, assuring them that the government stands with them. He stated that Uttarakhand is a disaster-prone state, and therefore, the government has taken several concrete steps to strengthen and strengthen disaster management. He urged officials to maintain transparency, promptness, and sensitivity in relief operations.
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a permanent helipad in the disaster-affected area to respond quickly to emergencies. He also announced the construction of an Anganwadi center in Bhaunr village, responding to the villagers’ demand. He also announced a grant of ₹1 crore for the imminent construction of a motor road to the village, allowing two-wheeled vehicles to travel in the area. The Chief Minister directed the development of a plan for the relocation of those who lost their homes during the disaster in Chenagad and also discussed providing compensation to those whose vehicles were damaged during the disaster.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government has made special provisions under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of disaster-affected families. He appealed to the people to remain patient during these difficult times and follow the government’s guidelines.
Upon the Chief Minister’s arrival, the villagers warmly welcomed him and expressed their gratitude for the state government’s prompt relief efforts.
Present on the occasion were MLA Rudraprayag Bharat Chaudhary, District Magistrate Rudraprayag Prateek Jain, Chief Development Officer Rajendra Singh Rawat, Additional District Magistrate Shyam Singh Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Ghildiyal, District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar, officials from the Tehsil administration, Public Works Department, Drinking Water Corporation, and other departments, as well as public representatives.
