Uttarakhand: Bribe demanded from nursing officer for appointment, Vigilance arrested red handed

Action against corruption continues in Uttarakhand. Today, the Vigilance team arrested Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi, Medical Officer and In-charge of CHC Nainidanda, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000.

Bribe demanded from Nursing Officer for appointment
According to information, Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 from a nursing officer posted at Adalikhal PHC in exchange for retaining her appointment at the same center. After receiving the complaint, the Vigilance Establishment planned and formed a trap team.

Investigation of movable and immovable assets continues
The trap team conducted an operation on Monday and caught Dr. Ashutosh red-handed while accepting a bribe. Following the arrest, the Vigilance Sector Haldwani team raided the accused’s residence. The movable and immovable assets and other documents are being examined there.
