Uttarakhand: Major road accident near Kainchi Dham; a tourist car went out of control and fell into a gorge, killing 3 and injuring 6

A major road accident has been reported from Nainital. A car carrying tourists plunged into a deep gorge near Niglat on the Bhowali-Almora National Highway. Three tourists died on the spot in the accident, while six others were injured.

Three killed in accident near Kainchi Dham

The accident reportedly occurred around 9:30 AM on Thursday. A tourist vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep gorge near Niglat on the Bhowali-Almora National Highway. Three female tourists from Uttar Pradesh died on the spot, while six others were injured. The injured include tourists from Gujarat.

Tourists were visiting the mountains

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police immediately reached the spot and rescued the injured from the gorge, sending them to the hospital. According to reports, a Scorpio car carrying tourists broke through the crash barrier on the Bhowali-Kainchi Dham road and fell into the gorge. There were a total of nine people in the Scorpio at the time of the accident. According to the police, all the occupants were from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. All the tourists were on their way to visit the mountains.
