Uttarakhand to experience severe cold: Rain and snowfall alert issued for these districts, fog will add to the difficulties

The weather in Uttarakhand has changed. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the hilly districts of the state, while dense fog will prevail in the plains.
IMD issues rain and snowfall alert for these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh districts on December 20. A yellow alert for fog has been issued for Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, and Champawat districts. People have been advised to travel with caution.
Fog increases difficulties in the plains
Dense fog has covered the plains since this morning. Driving on the roads has become difficult due to the fog. The drop in temperature has also increased the cold. Air and rail services in the plains are also being affected due to the fog.
