Uttarakhand: The Chief Minister flagged off the ‘Swadeshi Sankalp Run’ and honored organizations that promote indigenous products

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today flagged off the Swadeshi Sankalp Run at Gandhi Park in Dehradun. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda by offering flowers at his portrait. Institutions promoting indigenous products were also honored by the Chief Minister.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Swami Vivekananda’s message of “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved” will always inspire the youth for a strong foundation of the nation. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards the goal of becoming a developed nation. The role of the youth will be crucial in making India a developed country by 2047.

Call to make ‘Vocal for Local’ a mass movement
Chief Minister Dhami called for making the ‘Vocal for Local’ message a mass movement. He said that campaigns like Startup India, Make in India, and Skill India must be taken forward collectively. The Chief Minister specifically urged the youth to stay away from drugs, adopt discipline, focus on education and skill development, and fulfill their national duties.
