The incident occurred late Sunday evening. Saurabh Behar, son of Congress MLA Tilak Raj Behar, was attacked by masked assailants. Saurabh is also a councilor from Ward Number 39 in Rudrapur. Following the incident, he was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Rudrapur. The incident has caused a stir in the area. The police are investigating the matter.
