In Uttarakhand, the Samajwadi Party has appointed a young saint as its state president. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav has appointed Mahant Shubham Giri as the acting state president of Uttarakhand. Shubham Giri, a 35-year-old resident of Khadkhadi in Haridwar, comes from a religious background. He has studied Sanskrit and Vedic scriptures.

Upon receiving this new responsibility in the Samajwadi Party, Shubham Giri expressed his gratitude to SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav. He said he would work to further the party’s principles and policies. He mentioned that he has been associated with the Samajwadi Party for a long time. The high command entrusted him with this important responsibility considering his honesty and dedication to the party. Shubham Giri said he would try his best to fulfill the responsibility given to him with complete honesty.

Shubham Giri stated that all the Samajwadi Party committees in Uttarakhand are currently dissolved. New committees will be formed soon according to the instructions of the SP high command. He said that efforts would be made to strengthen the Samajwadi Party in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is a land of gods, and other saints and religious leaders will also be brought into the party. Shubham Giri said that if the party gives him the opportunity, he will also contest the assembly elections from the Haridwar seat. Shubham Giri said that an in-charge for Uttarakhand would be appointed soon. After the formation of the new committee, the party’s support base will be expanded. Before the assembly elections, efforts will be made to connect a large number of people with the Samajwadi Party.

It is worth noting that after the formation of Uttarakhand state, the Samajwadi Party’s support base has not increased significantly, although the party did have MLAs before the state’s formation. After the formation of the state, the party also had a Member of Parliament from the Haridwar seat once. However, after Rajendra Badi became an MP, the Samajwadi Party has not won any elections in Haridwar.
