Preparations for the Tea Festival, proposed to be held in Uttarakhand in November, have gained momentum. Alongside this, a ‘Honey Policy’ will also be introduced in the state. On Saturday, Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi held a review meeting with departmental officials to assess the preparations for the festival and the progress of other schemes.
The Agriculture Minister instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements related to the Tea Festival are completed within the stipulated timeframe. The meeting also included discussions on the launch of the Honey Policy and the ‘Mukhyamantri Samriddhi Yojana’ (Chief Minister’s Prosperity Scheme).
While reviewing the progress of centrally and state-sponsored schemes, Ganesh Joshi emphasized their effective implementation. He stressed that the benefits of these schemes must genuinely reach the farmers. To this end, he directed departmental officials to work in coordination and ensure that preparations for all programs scheduled for November are completed on time.
The meeting also underscored the importance of establishing better synergy with private organizations that are working toward enhancing the income and livelihoods of farmers.
