Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Former head of Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Rajinder Singh Rajan is no more

Sardar Rajinder Singh Rajan, former head of Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Adhat Bazar and General Secretary of Gurudwara Shri Ponta Sahib, has completed his worldly journey and has gone to Guru Charan. He was 94 years old. The officials of Shri Guru Singh Sabha have offered prayers to Guru Maharaj on his death. There is a wave of mourning among the people of Doon since his death. His last rites were performed at Raipur Kovid Ghat under COVID Guideline.

Sardar Rajinder Singh Rajan was born on 15 January 1927 in Sargodha district, started transport business in Dehradun on 1942 after high school. On seeing this, he made a special place in the transport world. In 1969, he became a lifelong member of Gurdwara Shri Ponta Sahib and continued to hold his important contribution for the betterment of Gurdwara Sahib by holding the post of General Secretary. In Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Adhat Bazar, Dehradun, for nearly 40 years, he has greatly increased his contribution to the religious and social works by adhering to the position of head. At present, the son of Guru Singh Sabha is his son Gurubakhsh Singh. In view of his service, he was honored by many institutions like Garhwal Gaurav, Doon Ratna, Pride of Uttarakhand, Seva Society, Patiala etc. He rendered important services at Gurdwara Chandar Road Dehradun, Gurdwara Bhagani Sahib, Gurdwara Tiro Garhi Sahib. Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother's neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
