Uttar Pradesh : From tomorrow, the impact of cyclone Yaas will be seen in UP, the storm-water cycle will start
Due to the impact of cyclonic storm Yas in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of storm water run in Uttar Pradesh from 26 May to 28 May. According to the information given on the website of the Indian Meteorological Center, in West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, as well as the neighboring state of UP, the cyclonic storm is expected to cause strong winds and heavy rains.
According to the Meteorological Department, dust storms and rains are likely to occur between 26 to 28 May in the eastern regions of UP adjacent to Bihar. Thunderstorms are expected in western UP on May 28. Meteorological Director JP Gupta said that light rain may occur in western UP on May 28 and in Purvanchal between 26 to 28 May, there may be light and normal rainfall.
Yaas will be affected by Lucknow
The impact of cyclone Yas will be seen in Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh before May 28. Meteorologists predict that its impact could be seen in Varanasi and adjoining districts as well as Gorakhpur, Prayagraj and Lucknow. As it progresses towards the west, its effect will lessen. BHU’s former professor and meteorologist Dr. SN Pandey said that during this time there could be rain with strong wind. In the area where the pressure of air will be less, there may also be strong rains.
Several trains canceled including Nilanchal Express
The Central Railway has canceled trains on several routes including Puri and Bhubaneshwar, before the cyclone of Odisha called Yas. In the same order, the Nilanchal Express going from Anand Vihar to Puri via Lakhnau and Shalimar Express train running from Gorakhpur will remain canceled on 25 May. These trains are canceled from today to 27 May –

Storm alert in 27 districts
The Meteorological Department has warned of storms in 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh. For this, the people of the respective districts have also been asked to remain alert. Along with this, the DM has been instructed to make necessary preparations. The DM and the Relief Commissioner of the respective districts have been alerted by the Meteorological Department. People of these districts have been advised to keep an eye on the weather and keep themselves as safe as possible. From the Meteorological Department, Moradabad, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Kasganj, Bahraich, Barabanki, Gonda, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Amethi, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Ballia, Ballia, Ballia , Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj and Kushinagar districts have been alerted.
