Will dedicate the medal won in Tokyo Olympics to the Corona Warrior of the country: Manpreet Singh

The Indian men’s hockey team has pledged to thank all the corona warriors of the country and dedicate their performance at the Tokyo Olympic Games as a mark of respect to them. As a token of gratitude, Indian men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh has resolved to overcome all odds to win a medal for India at the Olympic Games and dedicate it to the frontline workers of the country.

Manpreet said in a video released by Hockey India, “As we are working hard for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. We promise to fight against all odds to win a medal for India and if we do win a medal, we would like to dedicate it to the true heroes of our country. Doctors and frontline workers have worked tirelessly to save our country in this difficult time and have saved millions of lives.

There is now less than 40 days left for the Tokyo Olympic Games. The world number four Indian team would like to continue to give their best in this. This is the reason why the players and the team are leaving no stone unturned in their training at the Sports Authority of India (SI) Center in Bengaluru. Captain Manpreet said that he is proud of his team for the kind of dedication shown by his team in the ongoing selection trials.
Manpreet said, “I am really proud to see the dedication each one of us has shown during the trials. It is a great honor and dream for every athlete to represent India in the Olympics. Everyone is encouraging each other to give their best.
