Allopathy and Ayurvedic doctors have once again come face to face after AYUSH Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat announced that Ayurvedic doctors would be empowered to prescribe allopathic medicine. The IMA, an organization of private allopathy doctors, has reacted strongly to this statement of the AYUSH minister. IMA State General Secretary Dr Ajay Khanna said that the AYUSH Minister has given such a statement due to lack of information and it is not possible. He said that if the government tried to do this, its consequences would be very bad and allopathy doctors would not tolerate it under any circumstances.
Here, the Ayurvedic doctors expressed happiness over the statement of the AYUSH Minister and said that this would improve the health services of the state and in the places where allopathy doctors are not ready to be posted, Ayurvedic doctors can use emergency allopathy medicines for the betterment of the patients.
