Uttar Pradesh : Former BJP MP Sharad Tripathi passes away
Sharad Tripathi (50), a former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Sant Kabirnagar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh and son of Deoria MP Ramapatiram Tripathi, died late last night at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.
Mr. Tripathi was unwell for a long time due to liver problem. He lived with family in Dharamshala area in Gorakhpur. The former MP was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after his health deteriorated, where he breathed his last.
He had won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Sant Kabirnagar parliamentary constituency, whereas before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he had a dispute with BJP MLA Rakesh Singh Baghel from Mehdawal seat of Sant Kabirnagar. It was only after this incident that he did not get ticket from Sant Kabirnagar, but the party fielded his father and former state president Ramapati Ram Tripathi from Deoria and he is MP from Deoria. There is a wave of mourning in Deoria as soon as the news of his death is received.
